Arriving from Canada shortly on a road trip. Someone suggested Costco credit card. If stuck, can you use Canadian debit cards? Plan to get some cash as well. Horrible exchange rate on Canadian $. Thanks.
ElizabethTravelers checks in US dollars.
DanielleWhen I go to Canada I always take cash and then withdraw more right before the border. A few times I had to get some more from an ATM, BUT in my experience I was always able to use US cash anywhere in Canada.
I haven’t been up there since 2019 so it might be different. I can ask my best friend who lives in Calgary who comes home to Cleveland somewhat often.
SaraiI would find a credit card that gives you the most rewards for your purchases, I like the citi cash rewards one or the capital one quick silver.
Just make sure u don’t spend more than you can pay. I would also find a savings account with a good APY so you can make money on ur savings, capital one 360 has 4.3% I believe. Good luck, welcome to the shit show.
