.. Or remedies.
I don’t want to spend alot .
Thanks!
SuzyPrevent sun damage NOW when you’re young. It doesn’t show up until your older years. Then you start to see more and more age spots. And don’t smoke. Smoking ages you more than anything else.
CherylMake sure you use sunscreen on your face!! Always wash your makeup off if you wear it, a good moisturizer day and night.
KellyI’m an esthetician and I’m cringing at these comments. Please don’t put Vaseline or aquaphor on your face. You will clog your pores and your face can’t breathe. Cera ve is a good drugstore product line.
Double cleanse at night (yes, wash your face twice) exfoliate with a scrub (not Aprie apricot facial scrub or St Ives. They will scratch and damage your skin)2 times a week. Toner then Moisturizer. Morning, don’t wash your face, just use a warm wet washcloth. Toner then moisturizer. Once you’re more financially secure, you can incorporate serums such as hyaluronic acid and retinol. I hope this helps.
GigiYour skin type and how it ages is largely genetically determined. My sister tried many types of skin care products. I use moisturizing soaps and hand lotion. After 6 decades, our skin looks the same.
SusanThe majority of elderly people whom have noticeably minimal wrinkles always answer PONDS CREAM when l ask them what they have used on their face.
KristínaI use baby shampoo as face wash. I’m not sure what dermatologists think about this move but my skin likes it better than my other neutrogena/other higher end products.
I use moisturizer with sunscreen religiously
EileenStart with the inside out- tons of water, lots of living food (sprouts, vegetables, fruit) healthy fats like olive oil, avocado and even some dark chocolate. I personally love oil of Olay but it’s pricey. The dollar tree has several decent skin care items. Download an app that you can scan barcodes of things in the store to give you a safety rating. I use Yuka. Love your body.
Suggested: Things I don’t buy because I’m frugal
ChristineI’m 72 and my profile picture is 6 months old. I never use soap on my face – too drying.
I use Aldi Lacura moisturiser, minimal makeup – just lipgloss, a touch of blusher, eye shadow a little kohl eye liner and eyebrow pencil.
Less is more. Keep your skin clean. Drink lots of water. Get enough sleep. (Hard when you’ve got kids) Try to be happy – worry is very aging.
I probably spend about £20 a year on products so I’m very frugal.
RobertaMild facial wash, hydrologic acid serum pat on then wipe outward and upward and follow up with cold pressed organic grape seed oil same way on out and upward to blend in and don’t forget the neck and chest every morning and evening. This has helped my post cancer skin, so it should help anyone.
AnnaKeep it natural soap and water and if you honestly don’t have to don’t wear foundation make up or put powders on your face. The less crap you put on your face the more your skin will love you. I’m 60 have no wrinkles or creases on my face I stopped wearing make up in my 20’s. I occassionally would wear eye shadow or mascara but that’s it no foundations no creams no lipsticks.
BarbaraThis is the worst place to ask skin care advice! What works for one person would be a disaster for another. Licensed Skin Care Therapist here. No soap, get a ph balanced gentle cleanser, a good sunscreen SPF 50, wear it in the am everyday. At nite, always cleanse off dirt, make up, sunscreen and pollution and follow with a night cream formulated for your skin type. You can keep it simple, and investing in your skin is something you will never regret.
