They intend to start up their own PT business for the personal interest part, but really just want a FT job that will provide good benefits and an avenue to save enough to be FI. No particular cares about the type of work except they don’t want to be outside, and nothing medical or that requires school.
My first thoughts were post office or UPS. Are those still pension jobs?
Would love other suggestions!
JasonEspecially for someone who’s interested in starting a business, I would focus on companies with great management. Therefore, not the USPS. UPS and FedEx are well managed companies.
Most of those jobs will involve outdoor work, but great benefits. Higher quality grocery and wholesale stores, such as CostCo, Aldi, Publix, or Whole Foods.
PhilipPost office. Punch the clock and after that you can do your own business. Any profit-oriented company job will want overtime, weekends, etc. and will resent your other priorities…
JayTake as many of the job preference tests as possible. Better to never feel like work because you love it than have a pension, but hate it for 8 hours a day.
