What are you comfortable with? Some say don’t go over 40%. Others take it to 60%. What is your preference?
JasmineI like 0:100 because I don’t like debt.
JeffMy preference is 0, 100
RickMessy question. It will draw one of three answers. First is no debt don’t be crazy. Second will be best is ok due to consumerism. And third will be leverage debt till I die landlords and business owners.
CourtneyZero debt. I would rather be paid interest than paying it to a lender.
Charlotte0%:100% Have only been able to achieve this goal as we near full retirement.
MonicaI wouldn’t be comfortable with any debt except my mortgage and that’s only because all my other investments even HYSA are making more than the interest rate on my mortgage.
DionWhile growing my portfolio of rentals I wanted 70% LTV.
This way I gained appreciation on multiples of what I invest. But more importantly my depreciation schedule is based on a lot more than my income vested amount. (So, I’ve never paid a penny in rental income tax).
I retired in 2022 and changed to the goal of 50%. I’m at 40 so I may add some debt soon.
