Anyone know of stores, rewards programs, apps, etc. to help save on diapers, wipes and other baby products?
Need to try and help our daughter save on those types of things with our granddaughter arriving in December.
Thanks in advance!
EliseWe shop very frugally for diapers. Here are some things we’ve discovered.
-Cloth diapers don’t save you money if you use coin laundry like we do.
You can wash them with a five gallon bucket and a plunger – it’s up to you if you want that work with a newborn.
We decided we didn’t.
-Aldi brand diapers were the cheapest, but they’ve run into issues with their supplier.
If they start making them again, they’re your best bet.
Smaller sizes were about $0.12 a diaper, not bad. Aldi does still carry the cheapest wipes though.
– Next cheapest we’ve found are Parent’s Choice at Walmart.
Both Aldi diapers and Walmart diapers are thin, so you want to have some better quality, thicker diapers for overnight once baby starts sleeping well because you’ll wind up with leaks.
-For thicker diapers for overnights/road trips/times when we know it’ll be slightly longer between changes, Costco-brand diapers on sale are your best bet.
They go on sale two or three times a year, watch for the sales.
Costco and Huggies are literally exactly the same, so it’s a nice diaper.
KaylaTarget diapers are great and much less expensive and a few times a year they’ll do $30 GC with the purchase of $100 of diapers and wipes
VanessaTarget usually runs a deal where you purchase $75 or $100 worth of diapers or wipes and you get a $30 gift card.
I just use those to buy more diapers.
Pampers has a QR code you scan to earn points towards more diapers.
The hospital gave me 3 packs of diapers to take home so you can ask the nurses.
AnastasiyaI was able to get a good size bin of diapers in each size from people giving them away on Facebook and Buy Nothing groups.
Pampers has a rewards program. Wipes are gold.
People will trade anything for a box of them so I got nothing there except considering cloth wipes.
LauraLots of people overbuy newborn diapers – it can be hard to gauge how many you’ll need because they grow so fast (some go right to size 1 even!).
So check your local Facebook marketplace or online selling apps – people are often selling or giving them away for the little sizes.
Cloth is a great money saving option, especially if bought second hand. The Clean Cloth Nappies website and Facebook group has a ton of good info on sanitizing used diapers and how to get a good wash routine
JoelleLook up couponing cvs, Walgreens, and dollar general on YouTube. Download their apps
NadineAmong other ideas – have a babyshower and suggest boxes of diapers of all sizes as a gift
LucindaWhen you go shopping, always check the clearance areas. The Rite Aid near me just had 75% off a couple of types of diapers (store brand, I think) and some baby meds.
ElizabethI thought I did good buying $100 worth of diapers/wipes at Target and getting a $20-$30 gift card.
I always used the gift card on the next box.
If they have a Target card they can also save money that way.
MicheleNo name, bulk size, coupons, free sample offers, Cosco, market place from people who’s kids have out grown that size.
Buy use items (stroller, dresser, bouncer, crib)to save for diapers and wipes.
A baby shower with extra draw for bringing diapers (diaper draw!
PattyWhen my eldest was born, I bought 5 dozen diapers. They lasted through 3 kids and beyond.
The first 6 months I used a laundromat.
Later blessed with a washer, I line dried whenever I could.
I guarantee you I saved a couple thousand dollars.
That was 40 years ago. Bonus: kids on cloth diapers potty train sooner.
CamillaHave her get on Huggies and Pampers Rewards programs. Fetch and Ibotta offer rebate programs …
know there are others.
Be sure to have her get on Similac and Enfamil Mom’s registration for formula samples
Diane$General has dowloadable coupons that almost always include diapers, wipes, baby oil and the like AND they run a $5 off $25 coupon almost every Saturday.
Family $ does the same..
but they tend to have less coupons on baby items than $ General in my area.
Both of em take pick up orders and that’s convenient when you have a baby in the car.
BrianneI have Rakuten who offers cash back for different stores. I only open it when I know I need to go buy something so I can get a little back.
I think there are similiar apps for instire.
BeckyWe used white washcloths instead of baby wipes. Ran them under warm water before we used them to wipe down the baby
KatelynWhat state? If you are in TN and receive TNCARE or cover kids , starting next month they will cover 100 diapers per month via pharmacy using insurance card to “check out”.
