DeborahOdoBan. You can buy it at Dollar General. It’s wonderful.
HeatherBaking soda and vinegar works better than anything imo
ImigulaI’d try Nature’s Miracle. It’s designed for pet urine, but should work.
ElenaLemon Pine Sol. When my daughter was potty training, she would squat behind the couch. We didn’t catch her right away. Lemon Pine Sol worked miracles.
Annettemy pet peed. it eats the enzymes and evaporates it. will take a few applications to get through the layers but it will be gone as well as the stain. order online.
LauraKIDS ‘N’ PETS – Instant All-Purpose Stain & Odor Remover worked well during potty training.
JanetSprinkle a box of baking soda and top with wet paper towels with vinegar and just.leave for a few days if you can. Then you can vacuum and if you want shampoo the rug.
I had a cat that we didn’t know had kidney failure. I took him to the vet the day after he was quite right and she told us it was to late and he was old.
So, we had to put him down. It was at least a month later that my basement had an odd smell-like musk but pee at the same time. I moved all the furnitire and discovered a ton white dried crytals behind the couch on edge of rug and all over laminate floor. I swept it and wiped-but then put the baking soda and vinegar down and moved couch back for about 2 weeks. Completely gone!

JanNature miracle works on human urine. I used it on my mother’s mattress and bedding when she suddenly became incontinent I had some at home for my naughty pug!! So, I tried it. Took the odor away better than I expected.
KristenYou need something acidic. Use lemon juice and water. Spray it until its wet and take a cloth and clean that area with the water and vinegar. Towel dry that area and let sit to dry. I hope this helps.
CylviaA lot of these cleaning products are good for cleaning the carpet, but if it leaked into the padding, it will come back. If you can pull the carpet back to check the padding, and also the subfloor will need to be deodorized as well.
CarolynLearned from a home hospice nurse years ago. Clean with Folex and treat with Kids N Pets. Repeat until all odors and stains are gone. I stopped buy Nature’s Miracle or trying to use vinegar or anything else years ago. There is no combination that works better. Nothing. I have numerous old, ill pets and have taken care of relatives with incontinence issues.
The hospice nurses always know the tricks that actually work.
DottieShaving cream wherever it’s at load it up let it sit and then clean it with vinegar and water if you still smell some you can use coffee grounds on it once it’s dry Uncooked coffee grounds.
DeniseAmazon sells a peroxide cleaner. I buy it in a gallon size for my pet grooming business . It is the only thing I’ve found in 45 years that’ll take care of any organic odors.
PaulaIf that has gone thru the carpet into the carpet padding, and gotten into the subflooring or wood floor beneath, a topical application is not going to work. It may seem like it at first, but over time and using heat during the winter..you will soon realize it’s still there. You would have to replace carpet, and if in wood underneath, sand it down and seal it to keep smell from coming back. If too deep into subflooring, you may have to replace.
If it’s just “an accident” a topical cleaner made to remove urine should work.
