Health equity HSA users. I’m getting to a point that would like to invest a portion of my HSA. Health equity has vanguard funds, which is great, but they charge .03% per month. I think that’s too high.
I’ve confirmed that i can transfer money in and out to/from another HSA acct with no cost.
Are you aware of any brokerages that provide a more reasonable HSA account charges just to hold the investments? I don’t need to process reimbursement transactions or payroll contributions. Just want it to house the invested portion.
Thanks
Marty.03 percent is nothing. That means for every 100k you have in you will pay 30 bucks a month.
MichaelI moved mine to Fidelity. Easy & free.
RonFidelity does not charge me a dime. And I can buy anything I want in it. No fees whatsoever.
JoanI’ve been looking into the exact same thing. I only have access to target date funds which also have an expense ratio (low at .08 but brings it to .44) in addition to the monthly fees. I’d rather have it in index funds, but paycheck deductions would still go to Health Equity. Not sure I want the hassle of two accounts.
ChrisI moved everything to Fidelity from Health Equity. No fees for HSA. I have my other accounts there too
RonI switched to Fidelity since I got tired of the monthly investment fees and also my previous provider required me to keep $1000 in the cash account whereas I wanted this to be an investment account. I wish I had switched earlier. I’m very happy with the Fidelity account.
