Looking for recommendations for life insurance company’s. 40 years old recently quit smoking and do not drink. Make around 250k depending on bonuses.

Wife has been a stay at home mom for past 20 years and just starting to get her career going. 20 year old son out of house and moving to another state where he just bought a house. 18 year son currently living in house starting trade school to be an electrician and 14 year old son.

      Thanks for advice and recommendations!

We got great rates through Policy Genius. They were able to find a company that excluded one of my pre-existing health conditions from their models.

why do you need insurance? Depending how long you’ve been earning at that level, you should have enough to take care of your family if you should prematurely depart.

Make sure you determine what your actual insurable need is and insure just that. No need to purchase life insurance beyond financial independence, as I see it.

We had a good experience with Policygenius recently. We ended up going with Banner Life policies.

If you would like quotes. I could get you some as well. I have an agency…

I like to get clients set up with term policys that have great renewal options at the end of the term just in case.

We offer term to term coverage without having to qualify again.

Do you have strong disability coverage, 60-70% of income post-tax?

Based on info here, you probably have a minimal need for Life coverage. Adding a group policy at open enrollment can be a great solution when personal underwriting is difficult.

Everyone should get 30 yr term BEFORE age 40 for best rates.

The recent smoking might hurt you for the next five years or so, but you can always reapply for better rates every year or two.
