I’ve been wanting to share regarding BOGO sales.

Please don’t assume that they’re a bargain and grab two….or more. They aren’t always a good deal. There are times that stores raise prices before a BOGO sale. Do the math….Divide the price of one item by 2 to make sure that what you’re paying is less than the normal price or the same as a sale price.

So, if you normally pay $4.00 for an item and it’s now on BOGO sale and the price for one is $12. Divide by 2, which makes the individual price $6.00. So, in that case, the BOGO sale isn’t a bargain at all.

Turkey Hills by me have monsters for buy two get one, which comes out to $2.32 per can, as opposed to the normal $3.49 per can.

However, Walmart has 12 packs for $21.18, which comes out to be $1.77 per can. Saves me about $20 a month.

So true! At my local Publix, often the BOGO is still more expensive than Walmart, Aldi or Kroger-on-Sale.

Most stores allow you to buy one at half price, no need to buy two.

                Good idea.

I check after I got home and noticed I had paid almost 10.00/lb for chicken breast.
