Does everyone know about ordering checks through Wal Mart? I’m paying around 1/4th of what it would cost ordering through my bank.
When it comes to ordering checks, many people automatically turn to their bank. However, retailers like Walmart offer check printing services at seemingly lower prices.
I’d love to hear from those who have tried both options. Did you notice significant savings by ordering checks through Walmart, or do the benefits provided by banks, such as security features or customer service, outweigh the cost difference?
Please share your experiences, thoughts, and any tips for getting the best value for your money.
AnnetteI didn’t know banks were still changing for checks. Mine has not for ages and ages…
KarenPeople still use checks?? I had no idea. thought those were “dead” a long time ago.
DonnaI just found out my bank gives free checks after 65 years old. Annoyed I just ordered some.
MaryHow much is the bank going to charge you for processing any checks that you issue? And always make comparisons.
CarolI probably write 3 checks a year. I ordered them off of the cheapest places I can find.
KristinI’ve always used checks unlimited.
I didn’t know Walmart sold them. Interesting.Jazipyes. I order my two financial institutions checks from walmart.
very satisfied. they have to follow guidelines. I waned no address on the checks.very reasonably priced and quick delivery.
RitaWe’ve used Walmart checks for years. Prices have gone up recently but everything has always been good quality and no issues going through the bank.
Susanmy bank does not charge for checks. I use a debit card for all commercial transactions
JanSometimes your bank will do a couple convenance checks for free, 3 or 4 checks. I write about 1 check every couple years.
RachelChecks are so expensive no matter where you get them. I have almost everything on autopay or I log in and pay it online.
I use maybe 5 or 6 checks per year.
We’ve had the same box of checks for years now.
So much cheaper that way.
LouiseI ordered from Bank. They last a couple years, because I pay most on line.
StellaI rarely use checks. Debit card or auto pay. Can’t remember the last time I ordered checks and still have a couple books
MelissaGood to know thanks.
We do still use checks here and there. Thankfully they last a lot longer now, that we don’t use them as often.CindyI ordered my Mom’s from them, and and will order mine the next time I need to.
JennyI have Bank of America. They don’t charge for checks if you have a certain type of account (preferred, tiered, etc.).
JennyI don’t use many checks, so I haven’t ordered any since I set up my bank account a long time ago.
However, my bank (Truist) has an option in its app that will allow you to specify a payment amount and the address.
You can even set a recurring payment if it’s needed.
They’ll send out a paper check for no charge!
I’ve only used this a handful of times, so I’m not sure how it would work for many checks.
