I know that getting fast food is not frugal, but occasionally we get it to celebrate. My son and his wife just got their offer on a house accepted and they love White Castle burgers.

I asked them over last night and drove through WC to get a crave case (30 cheeseburgers).

The crave case was $34.29, but they had a promotion going for 10 cheeseburgers for $7.99. $24 versus over $34 was a no-brainer, so I got three of the 10 packs.

I mentioned something to the cashier. She laughed and said you would be surprised how many people don’t realize the 10 packs are cheaper right now.

Just goes to show you, compare your prices.

My first and last time having that place was having a white meat burger. I’m from Texas and had driven hours to go to one of these.

        So disappointed

No white castles near me. Great for you on savings! Another thing to save… get promotional gift cards at Sam’s club, during Christmas promotions etc.

I saved ten bucks off the top buying a 50 dollar gift card for 37 plus tax at Sam’s.

          Wing Shack.

Then got a promotional deal and saved more. Or apps sometimes.

Freddys has deals where you buy fries or etc and get 300 points.

1000 points is a free meal basically. Arbys online app had 50 percent off a couple weeks ago.

My husband loves them! We’re originally from the Cincinnati area. When we go ‘home’ his Big 3
            Are:

            -White Castles

-Cincinnati Chili-Dixie Chili Newport, Ky preferably
            -Frisch’s Big Boy

I tease him about seeing family while there and we do-but these 3 are the highlight of our trip…

Oh we’re been gone from Cincy now 45 years…but we ‘found’ White Castles here in Texas! My guy is a happy guy…

We are frugal in many areas in our budget-but his big splurge (not mine!) is a box of White Castles -a BIG Box from our grocery store.
            That’s his lunch…almost every day…

Renee Lynn I will have to share this post with him!

BTW may I ask where you get your White Castles…

              Wowsers, 30 burgers???
              That’s a lot of burgers.
Why not get a burger meal, with chips and a coke? For the same price
Not being mean or anything but here in Australia we can get meal deals so you get a burger with sides, but depends on where you go

Maccas is cheaper but quality of food is mediocre, if you go to boss burger you get the same thing but costs more but you know it’s gonna taste good

I could really go for some WC, but none in my state. Had one right near my house when I was a kid.

                Twelve cents for a burger.

                  Congrats.
When I do eat FF. I get big deals plus get free food at that time and earn rewards to use later.

I don’t believe in depriving yourself, but just be financially savy to do so.

Also, saving in some areas that don’t matter to that person so they can put it to the places that do matter.
