Ideas for a cheap birthday party for a group of 13 year old boys? Sports related?

They want to go to a sports simulator in town but that’s $80/hour plus food and gratuitity…

I’m wondering if anyone has rented a video game console maybe to use at home?

I’m not sure what video game systems exist anymore.

I was thinking maybe something virtual reality?

      Thanks in advance!

Some have vans that come to your house with the games and you can do your own food

Idk if there’s consoles to rent but I have an barcade in my hometown that has retro and new arcade games plus video game consoles to play it’s like $12-15 to play all day

Have you checked the prices for a driving range. Some give great group rates especially to kids.

Bowling is usually reasonably priced for a birthday party too.

                80. Per hour for the simulator isn’t bad. How much is the food? How many total will you have?

Maybe instead do the simulator for 1 hour then go home do a real life game of football or baseball whatever and have hot dogs or something on the grill or maybe big sandwiches?

If room at your house do an obstacle course. Time each child, give small prizes to top 2-3. Or set something up at local park.

Have them zig zag through swings, climb, go down slide, etc.

                    the fastest. Good luck.

If your kids don’t have a video game console (Nintendo switch, ps4 or 5 or Xbox) can you ask to borrow one from someone?

Pizza and cake and video games is all kiddos need!

Something digital is probably more fun but I got my son a flag football set of flags and they played football for a couple of hours.

Then served take and bake pizza and lemonade with cupcakes.

Water guns from thrift stores. Go to park or elem. School on playground or lawn on weekend.

Maybe bring basketballs too. Costco pizza.

                          Cupcakes and water bottles.

Or make targets for them to shoot at.

Paper plates, etc. Oh and obviously a water source to refill.

                          Other idea: ice blocks.

My boys and friends had so much fun riding them down a hill at school on the weekend.

Good way to wear them out and have fun.

We organized a baseball game at a local park for one of our son’s parties.

Everyone wore a baseball shirt of their favorite team, I had peanuts, popcorn, hotdogs and cake.

Everyone, even the grown ups played.

                            It was a great party!

Our city has an esports lounge where it’s setup with computers and switches.

We can reserve for birthdays for a free.

                              Maybe your city has something.

We also have kid salons that have gaming consoles at each hair stations called sharkeys.

If you have any arcades with just a door fee.

Here in Dallas there’s one called cidercade. $10 fee before a certain time.
