Just got laundry detergent, dish soap, bag of kitty litter for $4.07 at dollar tree..I figure grocery store stuff would be$15. ITSALLL GOOD STUFF IVE USED FOR YEARS.

I recently came across an offer at Dollar Tree that promotes “Cored Essentials” for just $4. It sounds like a great budget-friendly option, but I’m curious about the quality and value of these items.

Have any of you tried these products? Were they worth the price, or did they fall short in terms of durability and usefulness?

I’d love to hear about your personal experiences and any recommendations for must-buy items, as well as things to avoid.

Let’s help each other make smart, budget-conscious shopping decisions!

Pay closer attention to what you’re paying as far as $/ounce and $/lb. Dollar Tree is almost always more expensive!

Check the weight on all of it. Often times they sell your brand names in similar looking sizes that are actually a few ounces less.

Deceptive, but totally legal if the actual weight is printed on the packaging.

In my small household, I also appreciate the smaller size. I don’t need giant containers.

You can get some deals at DT. I’ve gotten family size boxes of cereal before among other things. Just like anywhere you gotta know your prices.

A lot of times I go there for things I don’t want a big container of.

It’s just my daughter and I so smaller is sometimes better. Glad you scored some deals!

It pays to shop around! I have shopped sales/used coupons for years & our bills are well in hand.

Just paid $4.12 at the grocery store for the smallest cheapest bag of cat litter I could find.

I wish I would have thought of going to the Dollar tree instead….

Yes! I buy a lot of cleaning products at the tree! For one thing if you are really on a budget it’s great to leave without spending more than $10.

I felt like the detergent was kind of watered down and thin, as well as the dish soap me and my husband tried but we didn’t particularly like them.

So now I try to buy from Sam’s club, it’s more up front but lasts us so long.

It ends up being cheaper for me. You just gotta figure out what works for you and your family.

I just bought some of their laundry detergent. Said it had Awesome in it. Only $1.25 so I will try if.

Is that what you bought? Is it good. Our clothes are more soiled than dirty – retired old people. lol.

I hadn’t been in DT since they went up on their prices – not because of that I had mobility issues.

I was surprised as they had some items for $1.50 and even $5.

My small desk calendar was $1.50. You can’t buy if anywhere else for that price.

With laundry detergent and dish soap it’s important to check how concentrated they are.

How much do you need per load?
