Those of you who are over 50
Do you have AARP membership ?

I was wondering what kind of actual savings I will get for travel etc

ie how much off on hotels / airfare ?

      Thankyou

We got Hartford vehicle insurance through them. It was awful when we made a claim.

For political reasons I now belong to AMAC, but we don’t use it, either.

Most places you just have to say your a Senior for discounts and we are not interested in any of their programs.

I wish they would stop sending me junk mail.

I don’t care for their political views, and I’m not impressed with all the money they spend on junk mail.

We used to but didn”t see any real benefit to it . Haven’t had a membership in over 10 years and do not miss it.

I never use the card either, but I do renew my membership. Because they fight for our social security and Medicare and lower drug prices

I have it but I only use it when I go to Denny’s. I stack it on top of the senior menu offers. So, at twice a month and only $9 a year I do save.

I’m not a traveler or rent cars etc.

It’s great if you travel. I also got good discounts on roadside assistance and my phone.

It finally paid off some for me with a $100 credit on Holland America.

I had it for years as savings on auto insurance and rental insurance was the best around.

Local businesses gave discounts also. Eye glasses, movie theaters, oil changes, stuff like that.

I found travel deals were pretty much the same as any other discount program out there.

I gave it up after I was injured and could no longer drive and rarely go anywhere.

We’re only early 40s and joined this year to get a discount at consumer cellular.

save money on gas by using exxon or mobil stations.
                          at restaurants too

I have to have it because of my husband retirement plan. It is required through the company he worked for. It is a waste of 12.99 a year.

My credit card paid half of the fee. I feel the magazine gives you a lot of useful information that saves me money in the long run.

If you fill out their quiz sections you get free sweepstakes entries.

The travel deals did not seem too great though.

I’ve learned some things from their mags. I canceled my subscription but will restart soon since my c/c gives me money back on AARP.
