For renting a car on Turo, it is my understanding that credit cards won’t provide insurance in the car since it’s a riding sharing program. Is that correct?

If so, what do you do for insurance? Do you just pay for the extra insurance on Turo?

Just seems really expensive, but is there any other way?

My auto policy coverage applies to Turo. I’d check with your provider

I have State Farm and my policy covers Turo. I check in with my agent in writing each time I rent to receive confirmation I’m covered.

Many personal auto policies extend coverage for renting a vehicle through Turo… Definitely check with your auto insurance agent

I have State Farm auto and called them- 6 mo coverage on any rental for $50. I believe Turo was same price for 1 rental.

Had great experience with Turo. Enjoy.

Your cards don’t provide insurance, so it defaults back to your own auto insurance.
