Thought I’d share what I do when craving Chinese food. I make a big fried rice. So easy. The key is to use sesame oil as well as soy sauce. I buy Dollar Tree spring rolls. Yum. I also make homemade coconut chicken. Can’t remember if I can post links. Just google kids in the sink coconut chicken.
Also, if I’m willing to spend a bit more Trader Joe’s orange chicken is amazing cooked and mixed with cooked broccoli.
MaryWe eat our fried rice topped with great value Thai sweet chili sauce.
ChelleLo mein is a favorite in our house and mine is better and much cheaper than the local takeout.
MelissaThe Hubs makes a great fried rice–bacon, rice, onion, egg, and maybe frozen peas. We use a really good soy sauce so a little goes a long way.
KristieSesame oil makes such a big difference!
I chop up vegetables and toss them in a little sesame oil, ginger, garlic and cilantro then roast in the air fryer.
(heavier vegetables first and add onions / lighter vegetables the last six minutes).
Eaten over rice tastes like restaurant.
RobertaWhat a great idea. Thank you for sharing.
