For me it is twice a year. I buy either New Balance or Sketchers.
JessicaUnfortunately sneakers are the one thing I have to replace every year, I have foot problems. I wear hoka or brooks. Investing in your feet will help you in the long run
ChristyOh! Lol Ill wear them til they fall apart
KatherynI wear sneakers from keens. They are very expensive but I’ve been wearing the same pair for like 4 years now. They have holes and the inside are beginning to wear down in the sole but they are still completely wearable and I wear them like several times a week still. I am a big believer in spending more on shoes so they will last a very long time.
ShyreTwice a year or more if they break down. A fitness trainer told my husband to “put your money in your feet”. If you wear good shoes it makes all kinds of exercise more enjoyable.
BrandyThat’s the recommendation by podiatrist. Twice a year or when the sole wears down unevenly.
DebbieI like Allbirds. They’re also pricey but are made partly from recycled materials and they’re very comfortable. I bought a pair of black wool ones for winter and wore them on a trip to NYC. Very comfortable and they look nice.

AlleanThis is not met to be rude by any means. I have alot of tennis shoes and rarely wear the same pair 2 days in a row. I wear the treads down. Once the treads are worn down I get rid of them. Look for clearances, sales, promotions.
LanaI replace them probably once a year. But I am very picky and if I happen to find some that will work for me I buy them and keep for later. I also buy 2 pair at a time and switch days wearing them to help them last longer. I am having a harder time finding shoes that work for me. I have the most luck with new balance trail runners. I have learned not skimping on shoes helps you in the long run health wise!
DebDepends. I usually get New Balance or Nike. I actually run or speed walk for exercise. So I will wear a pair to exercise for about six months and then it gets moved to “every day” wear (at least when I am not working). And I wear a new pair to exercise. Rinse and repeat. After the six months of “every day” wear they get moved to dirty jobs as I will have a “new” pair of “every day” wear ones.

PatriciaI only wear sneakers maybe 6-8 times a year so mine are brand new condition for a few years. My kids though, I replace maybe 2-3 times a year depending on how they hold up. I wear boots for work daily and I end up replacing at least 3 times a year. I know it would be more frugal to buy better ones and get them resoled but I’m lazy.
ErinTwice a year for sneakers. I have to force my mother to accept new shoes each year for mother’s day, we try to get her hooked up with nurse clogs and a pair of sketchers. She has long hours and they somehow hold up to the many steps she gets in. It helps to keep the clogs on in the hospital and swap out to the sneakers for outside, especially saving the nonslip soles from being worn down too quickly.
JaneI wear vans and tend to buy one pair a year, they hold up pretty well even though I walk quite a lot in them. Sometimes I buy a second pair within a year, when there is a sale and so that it’s ready when I’d like to swap over to new ones (and keep the more beat-up ones for concerts and festivals)
PatriciaBecause our feet support our entire structure, it’s one of the few things we never skimp on! For my treadmill shoes, I keep track of the mileage I put on them, so they’re usually replaced every 6 months when I’m consistent!
For shoes we wear out of the house, we replace them the very moment that no longer feel comfortable and supportive!
Our favorites are ASICS gel shoes!
