I think I am going to do mostly small gift cards for my kids (one tween and two teens), but I want to get them some inexpensive things to open that they will actually use.
My daughter is easy because she loves beauty items and doesn’t care what brand they are. For the boys, they like so many different things so I can be very creative with them!
What have you bought your kids/loved ones so far?
AliciaI get my grandsons (13, 12, 10) beauty items as well…. excellent brand… Every Man Jack…. nice fragrances- body washes, lotions, body sprays, deodorant.
MollyI got a unicorn cross stitch kit in our Buy Nothing group and I’m going to make it for my daughter. I might sew it to a pillow or frame it for her wall.
DenniseNot sure where you sit on the inexpensive spectrum but my teens usually liked electronics or accessories for them… phone case, headphones, portable battery chargers, card/id holders that stick to phone. Hoodies are always popular with boys.
Not sure if it’s still in the giftcard category but maybe a ticket or something for a batting cage, mini golf, movie. Do they make their own snacks/meals?
I know people have gifted a pizza pizzaz or waffle maker. Decor for room like a wall poster.
Don’t miss: Let’s do a thread of pictures of things you made last minute to save money
CoryFor kids the best time to buy toys is right after Christmas.
My wife and I got a good bit of deals on prime day otherwise we just try to get thoughtful gifts for adults.
JannI get points on my credit card that I can use to buy gift cards. I do this all year. Hundreds to choose from.
AmburI do it year round.
Whenever I can have the money and see something unique in my travels I pick it up and put it in the presents bin and when a birthday or Christmas comes I am always ready with a special gift.
