What are some ways to earn money while being at home? My husband and I both work full-time and make prettt food money, however, I am looking to find an at home gig to give our savings a boost.

We have three kids, two of which are in sports, and my husband and I work opposite shifts.

Tutoring is not an option, I’m smart, but I am not a good teacher.

Also watching other peoples kids is not an option, I know it sounds horrible, but I’m not a fan lol. Honestly, I am looking for something on the computer, but have no idea where to start.

If you have things to sell, it’s easy to list items on Marketplace or Facebook sell pages.

What about some small dog boarding? Dogs are much nicer than kids…

I watch small dogs in my house. I have 2 small dogs myself. I will not have more than 6 in total including mine.

I’ve been doing it for a while now and I have a pretty good clientele.

I know I’m underpriced but I charge 30$ a day and for overnight.

            They bring their own food

Be careful of scams, if they can’t give you details on this post and only in DM’s then it’s possibly a scam!

I flip items on ebay very, very part time. I have been doing it for ~10 years.

I thrift anyway, so I have learned thrift items that are good resell items. Most times, I can flip one or two items and it will pay for my thrift trip.

There are hundreds of how-to videos on youtube to learn ebay.

It took me a while to learn, some trial and error.

But, I would say I spend ~4 hours a month or less, and profit ~$500 a month.

I keep ~100-150 items listed at all times.

And I generally do not pay more than $2-$6 an item.

Childrens used shoes, clothing, small house goods, linens, bedding, towels, etc.

                are what I sell.

You can take a look at my items if you want to see.

My ebay user name is “zooernurse.” It is not an instant thing.

You will have to learn some things-like how shipping works (costs) and what items will sell.

Just an idea. I also save money by purchasing from ebay.

I always price check on ebay.

For example, I needed a pool filter basket.

The pool store was $17-$20. Amazon was $13-$15.

Ebay was $7 with free shipping.

There are many household items cheaper on ebay than amazon or walmart. There are some “stranger things” socks on my ebay right now. I bought ~12 packs of different socks like them (beetlejuice, stranger things, star wars, etc) for $1 pack on clearance at walmart. They cost me $4 to ship. And i have sold ~11 packs for $18-$20/pack. That’s a fair profit. And they take me ~2 mins to list and to package. I package my items when i list them and they are organized on 2 shelves in my garage, in baskets. So, when an item sells all i have to do is print a label and mail. That part takes about a minute. It is unlimited income potential. I have had more effort, more time and more listings and made as much as $2000 in a month. Just an idea.

Formatting files for crafting machines and selling them on Etsy. For example SVGs for cutting machines or lasers.

                  Or machine embroidery designs.

You don’t need to be an artist, you can trace commercial licensed clipart.

That’s what I do and I love it.

I also upload books to Amazon KDP

I know this isn’t a computer gig but I saw one woman start a laundry service in her home.

I really want a remote job as well or something in nature that I can set my own hours for.

My VA disability pay is setup where I can only work something that’s that level of flexible.

Pet sitting. If you don’t want to take on dogs, offer to take care of other pets such as indoor cats, birds, guinea pigs, etc.

A friend did wedding photography for intimate weddings at a winery and loved it so much and made good money.

Most of it was editing on the computer at home.

Hope you find something you love to do!

Go to the unemployment office or local community college. They can help you get on the state employment pages.

Lots of times you can work from home.

Also the pages online that will take resumes.

What about a customer service type job? Maybe companies have a customer service and some are available 24/7.

                                Something even like Amazon.

Anything scheme that requires you to spend money for training, an information package, a starter package, etc before you start is going to cause you to lose money in 99.9% of cases.

Be very leery of MLMs. And if they get defensive about being called an MLM, they are definitely an MLM.

Hannah Alonzo has some great content on Youtube regarding the business model and the risks.

I’ve been a pet sitter for the past 16 years. All word of mouth business.

                                          Not through an agency.

                                          Mostly dogs and cats …

Always at the clients house. Extremely part time.

Some months are slow but others are pretty good.

Over the years I have been able to buy a new oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, washing machine, vinyl fence and numerous items for my two children and household.

It’s something I truly enjoy and look forward to.

Plus, the dog walking part is great exercise for me. Also, since it’s through referral only I feel very safe entering people’s homes.

Through the years my teenagers have also gotten to know many of my clients and their fur babies so they sometimes join me.

It’s a win, win situation and I hope to continue for many years.
