My favorite pair of shoes sole started flopping and I can’t even wear them anymore… But there’s nothing wrong with it other than the sole coming off of it.
I tried to hot glue gun and tacky glue… What do you recommend?
I’m hoping to find a way to fix it myself if possible, rather than taking it to a cobbler right away. Does anyone have any tried-and-true methods for reattaching a loose sole?
I’d appreciate any tips on what type of glue or tools work best, as well as any prep steps to ensure a durable fix.
Thank you in advance for any advice you can share!
BecA shoe cobbler. Getting it fixed properly will save you in the long run.
MartaShoe goo or gorilla glue. Once you glue it use clamps to hold it together until it dries. Make sure to wipe off any glue that oozes out the sides.
MarkJB weld will fix them- although Shoe Goo is a great choice
CathleenThere is SHOE GLUE-Walmart, my husband uses it for his dress shoes
LisaYou’ll need Shoe Goo or something like it. Since I bought Docs that are the newer, no longer made in the UK ones, the soles have started to tear off twice.
That stuff works great.
