I have a large amount of photo albums to send to a family member; anyone have any tips for saving on shipping?

Can photo albums be sent via “media mail”?

Can you scan them on to a USB Drive and send those?

Remove from albums and use envelope with a piece of cardboard slightly bigger then largest photo, place inside so they don’t get bent firing shipping. Or maybe road trip?

Get to visit and learn about family history, stories of the past.

Scan them do your family has a copy.

If you can, send it to the recipient’s office. Residential deliveries cost more commercial delivery addresses, for UPS.
