Storing a toilet plunger in a way that is both cost-effective and visually appealing can pose a unique challenge, especially when considering hygiene and accessibility. While it’s a practical tool that should be easily reachable, it’s also something many of us prefer to keep discreetly out of direct sight.

For those who have creatively tackled this household dilemma or have a keen eye for functional aesthetics: How do you recommend storing a toilet plunger in a manner that’s frugal, yet doesn’t compromise on the overall look of the bathroom space? Whether it’s DIY solutions, repurposing items, or affordable product recommendations, I’d appreciate insights that merge practicality with aesthetics.

I cut away part of a plastic gallon milk jug. If it starts to look yucky, I throw it out and make a new one from another empty milk jug.

Ceramic flower pot under the tank. Also holds bowl brush.

Get one with the plastic holder and put one next to every toilet. I never understand why people sometimes only have one in their house.

I would never want my house guests to have to feel embarrassed to ask for one.

Quick access to a plunger can prevent costly water damage.

Don’t miss: Does anyone have recommendations on something to put in a toilet tank to help keep toilet clean?

We buy strong, high flow toilets so we never need a plunger. Ever.

We keep one in the guest bathroom though just to keep guests comfortable. I have a minor panic attack if I go somewhere and they don’t have a plunger in the bathroom. lol

We keep one of those plungers that comes with a stand.

I have a small cabinet in my bathroom where I store it out of sight.

What kind of aesthetic? Go do a discount store like a Ross or TJ Max and look for a small trash can that will hold your items. There are lots of pretty and lesser expensive trash cans that are better looking than the basic white plastic typical brushes.

If you have a linen closet near your bathroom put the plunger and brush inside a bucket and keep them in the closet. Sanitize and dry them before storing.
