I need ideas for 2 buckets of apples!!! And thoughts on draining the shredded zucchini or adding the liquid to the bread.

I recently harvested two buckets of apples and want to make the most out of them.

I’m considering options like pies, sauces, or even freezing them, but I’d love to hear your creative ideas.

Additionally, I’m planning to bake zucchini bread and am wondering whether I should drain the zucchini before mixing it into the batter.

Some recipes suggest it, while others don’t, and I’m curious about the impact on the texture and moisture of the bread.

What do you recommend for both the apples and the zucchini?

Also, may I know the type of apple that is? My BIL has the same apples harvested for me, but no idea what kind.

Make pie filling put in freezer bag. When you want to make a pie just pour in crust and cook or put in crust then freeze

Apple chips! (If you have a dehydrator). Makes a good healthy snack and can be stored without refrigeration

I slice apples and freeze flat in freezer bags. Then use for apple cake or crisp. Both my husband’s favorite

Drain the zucchini, it will make a zucchini quick bread soggy! Roll it up in a tea towel and twist gently to remove excess liquid.

Apple ideas… look for recipes for the following: Apple butter, apple cinnamon baked oatmeal, homemade applesauce, apple pie.

You can add peeled, shredded apple to the batter for muffins or pancakes.

For savory ideas, you can make pork chops with caramelized apples.

Can you tell I love apples?!

I have a peeler like this and it is a game changer! I just toss the sliced apples in my crockpot and cook on low.

Definitely keep the liquid for the bread. It helps keep the bread moist.

You can cut up apples, string them on a dental floss and smart them out to make dry apple snacks.

I would slice mix with sugar 10 grate 1 mix with sugar spices, vac pack.

Cook in a sous vide water bath at 160°F x 1 hour, then increase to 184°F x 1 hour.

Chill in iced water and freeze, apple pies, crumbles etc for life

Core the apples and make applesauce. You can substitute it for oil in baking cakes and such
