Hubby and DIL won’t eat it. So it’s just me, my son and grandson who may not eat much of it. It’s too fatty to make jerky from it. If all else fails, I can grind it up. Hubby will eat hamburger meat. It was gifted to me, so I’m trying not to waste it. Please don’t suggest that I donate it or give it away.

I’m trying to use everything we have at the moment because food is too expensive. Just wanting to know if there are any other ideas. I was thinking beef stew or soup.

      Any ideas are appreciated.

Mississippi Pot Roast is so easy and delicious! Sear the roast then put in crockpot.

Add one package of Ranch Seasoning, one package of Au Jus gravy mix, four or five pepperoncini peppers and top with a stick of butter.

Cover and let cook on low for about six hours. Serve over rice or potatoes or make open faced sandwiches.

You can place in slow cooker, then shred and make barbecue sandwiches with barbecue sauce, or do Italian beef, or cut up and make beef vegetable soup.

Last chuck roast I had was in the slow cooker with taco seasonings, shredded and made tacos instead of with ground beef.

Soups or stew would be good. You can also make green Chile burrito. I can tell you how to make it if you need a recipe.

You could cook it and then slice it up into small pieces and freeze.

Great to use for beef barley soup, add to the hamburger to make shepherd’s pie, use some for steak tacos, etc.

You could carve off as much fat as possible to make a pot roast/gravy in your crockpot. I use a packet but you can use beef broth and a ton of seasonings.

Cornstarch slurry the last 30 minutes it cooks to thicken the gravy.

Chop it up really fine when done and mix it back with the gravy.

Serve over rice or mashed potatoes right out of the crockpot.

Cook in a crockpot…add a pkg of Liptons onion soup. As slice for dinner with potatoes and veggies…the remainder I use for beef, barley and mushroom soup. Never a complaint.
