Anyone install a hand held bidet, use it enough for it to be cost effective saving $… like toilet paper, do you still use TP if you have the bidet… How’s the quality? Have leaking issues or anything? I’m on a well too if that means anything… for those that have septic has it saves you having to get itncleaned out so much? Which bidets do you recommend?

I have one and love it. I honestly can’t tell if I’m using less toilet paper because I use it to dry myself. I think it’s about the same maybe less. But I’d pay more money if I had to know that I know what it’s like.

I hate being in a place without one now, I feel so gross. Best $30 I ever spent lol.

I bought one from amazon and unfortunately have a non standard faucet so it’s not installed. I wanted an easy to install one that would have warm water available. It hooks up to your sink and has a pass through so you can wash your hands. It’s $70 and has a valve to prevent leaking.

            It’s made by Rinseworks.

I have to take the aerator off and measure it to find out if I need to replace my faucet or not.

I got the $60 one off Amazon it has hook up for hot water too, but I have not hooked the hot water up. It has not made me use less toilet paper. I do have washcloths in a basket on the back of the commode to dry off with, but they are microfiber and don’t dry properly so I still use the TP to finish the job.

But I think if I had better wash cloth, I could get rid of the toilet paper usage after bidet usage.

But I don’t always use the bidet, so I do still use toilet paper.

I live in Europe, so a bidet Is part of the bathroom. A bidet does not take the place of toilet paper.

We have one that has a dryer on it, so we definitely use less TP. I would never be without one.

I love mine! Daughter really likes it for cleaning her stuff when she has her period too… The water is very soothing. Mine is mounted under the toilet sear and was really easy to install.

I bought a Tushy and put it in myself in 10 minutes. Will never not have one. If you are not sure buy a cheap one on Amazon. Still use TP. If you like to do laundry use washcloth.

I have a toilet seat bidet on all my toilets. It does reduce the use of toilet tissue, because you clean yourself with the bidet so all you’re doing is blotting yourself dry with toilet tissue. If you wanted to completely eliminate toilet tissue you could do that by having a container of soft washable towels which could be laundered and re-used. Walmart offers a package of 12 cotton tee shirt type fabric cloths about 12×12 inches for about $3.

These would be perfect. Or you could make your own from your own discarded clothing. In addition to protecting your septic system a bidet is much more sanitary than using toilet tissue, more environmentally friendly, and better for your health and comfort.

I agree that a bidet is money well spent.

Once you get a bidet and use it you will wonder why they are not standard appliances in every home.

My favorite part of mine is the warm seat in mid-winter. I still use toilet paper, after I use the bidet. My least favorite is the little blast of cold water to begin as we didn’t buy the one with the hold tank. The water gets warm quickly and is non- ending though, unlike a heated tank.

I installed one from Amazon. It was under $40 simple installation and works like a charm. If I were spoiled, I’d have one on every toilet in the house.

I’ve had it for over a year with no issues whatsoever.

It’s on Amazon right now for around $40.
