I have been listening to old episodes of chooseFI and hearing about Salesforce…
but notice that the resources have not been updated since around 2022.
Is Salesforce still a viable option worth exploring? or has the world moved on and that’s why the sources are out of date?
Thanks!
JanelleI use HubSpot which is a competitor of Salesforce. The big difference is that the certification process is free.
Companies sell salesforce classes which in my opinion floods the market with people who are entry level.
As someone who hires people who know Hubspot there’s a lot less competition and just as many job opportunities.
MonicaSalesforce is still a large player in the CRM space. I’m on their mailing list and they have a large virtual event happening in September where they will showcase their newest AI tools and other updates to the platform.
Could be the Talent Stacker website just needs an update.
I believe Sales Force is still a Force (pun intended) in the industry.
YepesSalesforce is pretty much strong and running and very impactful in many companies due to its versatility and integrations.
Very powerful tool.
My company aims to handle a whole commercial review and cycle from opportunity to contract using salesforce.
Erika=I’m a salesforce admin if you have no experience you will have a VERY difficult time finding a job.
The job market is already tough, but it’s much worse if you’re competing with hundreds (often thousands- not joking) of other applicants at every job you apply to.
Do a lot of research before spending time and money.
It’s rough for those of us with experience.
A SF developer with 14 years experience just posted on Reddit how he can’t find a job and the ones he can get interviews for were like a 30% pay cut.
Basically in 2020, everyone and their mom got into the salesforce game and many of them still haven’t found their first role.
I love what I do, but I don’t recommend anyone do it.
It’s just over saturated, especially in entry level.
