Where is the best place to buy meat. Like chicken, ground turkey and fish? I shop at Walmart and the prices are crazy. Would Sans Club be cheaper for these items?
When it comes to grocery shopping, many people look for the best deals, especially on essential items like meat and fish. One common comparison shoppers make is between Sam’s Club and Walmart.

CathyI go to whatever is the local grocery store early in the morning and buy markdowns.
ShyreMy local small town grocery has good meat sales and often times has clearance specials.
The prices and quality is better than Walmart.
LauraCheck out the Flashfood app. Many stores near me sell items that way. Including meat.
Some maybe a day or two from sell by date so you would need to freeze or cook but it’s typically 1/2 off.
BrendaI buy only what’s on sale and usually can coupon on top of that. I shop at Albertsons.
This week boneless skinless chicken breast is .99 lb! Last week I got tri tip and eye of round roast at 2.99 lb.
Buy bulk and freeze.

JolieIf you have a winco in your area. I bought 3lb ground Turkey for $8.
Walmart it’s almost $12!TerriCostco has better meat than Sams Club. If you don’t have a food saver, invest in one. It is the best tool for not wasting meat.
Also, look for Farm Direct groups in your area.
If you have local butchers in your area, start watching their sales and get to know them.
SherriMeat markets have better prices in my area. Especially when I buy in bulk.
StaceyI have found Sam’s to be better price per pound than Walmart usually. And the quality seems better.
For me my local butcher small town store actually is cheaper than a lot of places.
Locally we have meat butchers that do a bundle price so if you have freezer storage, that might be an option.
ChristieI have found that the best way to save on meat is to download apps from the higher end stores and wait for digital coupons.
It’s more work but you can score some really good deals.
Stick to the sales though because their regular prices are insane!
PeggyI buy ground meat at Costco and divide it in 1 lb packs for freezer. If I chicken there it has to be Organic or their basic chicken is tasteless and tough.
Lamb loin chops are $5.99 a lb!
They are the Best Buy at Costco meat counter.
NicoleWalmart lacks quality. Find a local butcher or farmer.
