Switching 3 lines from Verizon to Mint Mobile.
Paid about $150 for 3 months of Mint up front with unlimited data whereas Verizon was charging me about $150/month for 15 shared gigs.
Waiting on my sim cards to come in. If it all works out, I’ll be saving about $100/month.
KayMint is amazing minus international but I didn’t care for $360/year. I only left them to get a free one year with my internet provider…
but I’ll be going back
AgnèsI want to do the same but not sure if Mint has a good service and data.
JasmineI switched to Mint early this year and I’m very happy with it. I was previously paying ~$85/month with AT&T, now I pay $240 per *year* with Mint.
I live in an urban area and coverage has been pretty much the same.
The only downside is that I get more spam calls since switching to Mint, but I’m okay with that since I’m saving ~$800 per year.
SuNot happy with Mint mobile, they have a 45 days activation limit on the prepaid plans.
I was waiting to activate mine until I got this new phone and 60$ were forefeited, unfortunately I did not read their extensive terms and conditions.
It makes no sense that they have thst rule.
For that reason alone I will not use them in the future.
DominiqueI love mint mobile! Plus I buy iPhones refurbished online for my kids and got an iPhone 14 for about $200 then pop in the SIM card, it’s amazing!
JamesIf you’re happy with the service, you save a little more by paying annually.
HeatherBeen with mint four years now. I dont even remember what having a monthly phone bill is like, we pay annually and that’s it.
HeatherOh, mint mobile! I really really wanted it to be a good fit for me-
I had so many issues and no service 2 different times- for a few days each timeSo impossible to get customer service.
I prepaid for 3 months then gave it another go because it’s so cost effective and I definitely do not need fancy bells and whistles service-
On month four – after prepaying for 6- I had to give up
Went back to Verizon –So sad.
I hope hope hope you have a better experience- many of my friends have had good success with mint
If you travel internationally- and only have one cell phone- and only use mint-
It was too hard to have zero communication for days on end.
And impossible to get customer service to respond.
I love the concept and think it’s a 100% win if you can get it to work for you
EmmaI switched my mom to Mint Mobile. Sometimes she gets calls and sometimes she doesn’t.
The service isn’t always great but my mo is 67 and doesn’t need a lot.
She just needs for intermittent scrolling but mainly for phone calls
BobbyIt’ll work out. We made the switch 4 years ago and have been very happy.
MeezschI switched to Boost a few years ago. $25 a line for a family four pack. Saved over $1200 a year.
GloriaI switched with their new promotion of paying 3 months in advance for $45.
Sometimes I lose signal or the phone doesn’t connect.
If it doesn’t work out spectrum mobile is a good alternative service.
ConstanceWe switched 3 lines this weekend to Visible by Verizon. Virtual SIM. 35/month for 2 years on Visible+, which is unlimited everything.
I traveled to a rural area using cellular Saturday with no issues.
My only drawback is international is $10/day for cellular and Verizon was $100/month.
RiseThat’s great! I started off with 3 months at a discounted rate. Next time, I signed up for 6 months.
Now, I just signed up for 1 year.
It’s worth it.
So nice to not pay a bill for one year!
ThoMint didn’t work well for us but US Mobile’s black SIM card runs on Verizon network and costs $25//m, month to month.
It’s the best and their service is 24/7 and impeccable.
RoseUpon an acquaintance’s recommendation & my own research, I just switched to TELLO. They use T Mobile towers.
$25 per line per month, no tax, no contract.
I tested the service on a spare phone before I switched.
CrismaeWe tried Mint and didnt last for a month. We didnt have good connection in our area plus ….
we are not included in group text messages at work.
We called Mint for a refund but we didnt get it.
It was good at first but sadly the inconvenience that we don’t have any connection as soon as we get in our neighborhood.
We donated some money because we didnt get a refund
