Not a typical FI post, but help me out! My family will be traveling to London for a couple days on our way to the Isle of Man, and I’m looking for advice on the Harry Potter Studio tour. It’s not cheap, but is it worth the money?
My kids will be 15, 14, and 6.
I’m planning a trip to the Harry Potter Studio Tour in London and would love some insights!
For those who have been there, did you find it enjoyable for kids around the ages of 6, 14, and 15? I want to make sure it’s engaging for all of them and that there’s enough to see and do for different age groups.
If you’ve visited with children, how did they react? Were there specific parts that younger or older kids enjoyed the most?
And was the tour interactive and magical enough to make it worth the trip? I’d appreciate any tips or recommendations, especially about what parts to prioritize or what to expect in terms of time and activities.
Thank you so much in advance!
HollyNot exactly related, but we stayed in a Harry Potter-themed hotel in London with kids and loved it.
NatalieTotally worth it. Also, we relocated to the Isle of Man 2 years ago
ChantalIt’s definitely worth it! We spent way more time than was recommended because the actual movie props and set hada lot of detail and so much to read about.
There were a lot of adults but also a bunch of kids. You won’t regret it.
KerriWe absolutely loved it! We mainly went for my daughter but there is so much interesting information on the special effects, sets, makeup and costumes that my husband and I had a great time as well.
Tickets are already on sale for next year so I’d jump on your dates.
We booked directly through the studio for entrance tickets, and then walked around at our leisure.
We used Citymapper and the TFL Go app to figure out trains to get there without any issues.
MelissaMy family went with a 10 year old and it was the highlight of our trip to London! All three of us love HP but definitely wouldn’t consider ourselves to be super fans or any anything.
It took us much longer to visit than we expected and had to leave after 4.5 hours due to other items on our schedule.
RachelYes, it is worth the money, if you and the kids like Harry Potter
KatieYes! And get tickets for early in the day. My parents and son went, had late ticket reservations, and felt they could have spent a lot more time there.
CharlotteA thousand times YES it is worth it. I’m a 43 year old woman and my husband and I went in April and I still think about how amazing it was.
Also- pay extra for the wizard’s high tea, so so fun
JasmineI loved it!! So glad I went! Definitely worth it if you’re HP fans.
Book as soon as you can if you need specific dates because tickets sell out in advance.
BrianTotally worth it for even marginal fans! We went this past summer and it was one of the highlights of two weeks in London, Paris, Rome, Venice, and Edinburgh.
JaniceI echo the others. Do it especially if you are big fans of the movies. Was a highlight of my solo trip to London last year but would have been great for my husband and our 20 y.o. daughter too.
