Help!!! Travel Rewards
It is on my to do list to figure out how to do travel rewards, but I haven’t gotten to that yet. Well, my husband decided to try and surprise me and opened a Chase Southwest Card a few days ago. The $69 annual membership fee has hit.
Can I get that membership fee waived?
Does this totally screw up travel rewards?
Does this mess up the companion pass?
What is the quickest way to learn the process fully? I feel like I am on the clock.
NicoleI recommend you join 10x Travel
Scott“Try and surprise me”
You two should not be surprising each mother with opening credit cards!
No.
Can’t get it waived.
There are retention offers….but not for a few years.
You/he agreed to the annual fee when signing up.
Yes, he, possibly, messed up utilizing the companion pass 100%, meaning, you won’t get the full 24 month use of it.
Tell him no more credit card/other surprises!
Two player mode is powerful in credit card travel awards!
Don’t miss: I’m excited as I’ve gotten better with my money management!
KrisQuick, get the Business card, meet both sign up bonuses this year, then at least have companion pass for next year.
MeganProbably the worst time of year for Southwest cards since most people open them to achieve the CP and you do that at calendar year end/beginning doe next year.
Annual fees are part of the game. This is a pay to play game.
