AndrewVanguard’s standard money market account pays over 5%. Short term CDs and TBills are available paying more than that.
BrianI did one of those for a short while. Was unimpressed with customer service and decided the 0.4% higher rate wasn’t worth it.
ChrisI just keep mine in Vanguard sweep account. It’s over 5% and SDIC insured.
S JoeleneWe did T Bonds to hold money for our kids college seems good as we have it staggered maturity ti make tuition payments.
RichardI’ve personally never chased a HYSA outside my own bank or brokerage only because of the unknowns (and my bank has relatively good rates).
I use Ally Bank.
