OK, So, My husband and I like to take the vacation offers where you have to do presentation tours to receive discounts at resorts. My question is, is there a limitation to this? If we’ve done one in the past, can we do another?
SandraOh, the one we went on was like pulling teeth. I swore I’d never do that again!
CelestineIt’s not a vacation if I have to be forced to listen to their presentations and then comes the hard sell.
AnneIf you do these… don’t tell them, you can’t afford them. Tell them you flat out don’t like it. They can’t argue with that. Be prepared to tell them what you don’t like.
I also like to show them the math of how many vacations I could afford if I invested the 25k instead or whatever they are charging.
RonaI think each company has their own limit. I’ve done it. I schedule my presentation right before I have to leave for the airport so I’m like sorry gotta go the airport waits for no man! 🤣
Not that I have a problem saying no but the urgency to leave is real.
JaniceHilton will let you do like 2 a year. If you’re married, you can do one under your name and another under your spouse. They also cannot make you stay longer 2 hours so we start a timer.
JaniceBlue Green kept us ALL Day!
I kept telling them I was not feeling well, my blood sugar dropped due to not eating…so they gave me a bottle of water and a package of pretzels. My husband finally signed to get out of the place. Never again! We had to.pay someone to help us get out of the contract, and the 2+years we were in,we were never able to use our weeks. They also lied to us about renting our time to someone else. A cruise is cheaper and a lot less stress!
AyalaHah, I have done a few of these and I make a game of trying to get them to lose the training as quickly as I can. My best was the 2nd person they pawned me off to and they were like, you cannot afford 0% down and 0% interest in 12 months?
Response: No.
They were snarky the rest of the conversation with a lot of backhanded comments on my financial wellbeing
