Problem is I’m almost fully on board to the baby steps. Just about to start baby step 2.
I owe about 6 thousand left on a fourwheeler and I’ll be debt free. Maybe it’s just me holding on, I’m not sure, is I have a credit score almost to 750.
I am trying to only spend 50 on each of the two ccs on a bill each month and pay fully.
I want to get rid of the cards, but I keep telling myself after I get the house I will get rid of them! I don’t want to be in a position of waiting 2 plus years to have a undermined credit score and on top of that if I do have a undetermined score.
I don’t know who to talk to about manual underwriting.
Thoughts/words of encouragement!
Thank you!
KassieSell the four wheeler. Only worry about the step you are on right now. Gazelle intensity =focus.
BarbaraIt doesn’t take 2 years to get a indeterminate score. But those credit card accounts have to be closed. It’s normally 6 months to about a year. Mine was 0 in under 6 months. But remember it will take awhile to get a fully funded emergency fund and the 10%-20% down payment. It’s not instantly after you pay off your debt your ready to buy a house.
BrockSubscribe to George Kamel’s YouTube page, he talks about this exact thing I think in his first YouTube video!
TaylorIt should only take about 6 months of no activity for your score to be underterminable. Then use manual underwriting to get your mortgage once you are ready to buy. Don’t be afraid to close your accounts!
StephanieSell the four wheeler. Do plastic surgery.
If all debt is gone, then save BS3. This is a NEEDED step. Do not skip.
Then 3b you save 10-20% down.
This is going to take at a minimum 6 months.
Your score goes indeterminate six months to a year at the outside.
Keep your utilities, rental all on time because that’s your new FICO for manual underwriting. You’ll have the same interest rate.
