Are there any oils (coconut, etc) or blends I could make that I can use on my face that would moisturize combination acne prone skin and help with anti-aging? Looking for cheap and natural. TIA
NeelimaIf you’re acne prone, do not use coconut oil. Go for a lighter oil like grape seed or jojoba.
MichelleCastor oil makes my skin feel amazing!
SunshineTallow has a comedegenic level 2 so unlikely to cause acne. You can buy a jar of rendered tallow and it lasts forever. Just scoop out what you need with a spoon and keep the rest in the fridge.
KarenOr grapeseed or jojoba with tea tree. Castor oil is good but rather thick. Tea tree is an essential oil which means it’s concentrated so you don’t use more than 15 drops per 30ml bottle. I would start with fewer drops and test my skin first then add more tea tree if needed.
AlannaThe best things I’ve ever found for moisturizing is hyaluronic acid mixed with moisturizer of your choice. I use Timeless Beauty beauty which is very affordable mixed with Weleda Skin Food moisturizer.
I think it would also work well mixed with a moisturizing oil.
KristinEllie when I was a teenager my mom would make this concoction of 1 teaspoon sulfur and 2 teaspoons of molasses and I would take it everyday and it was to clear any signs of pimples or acne. I never had one pimple. I believe it cleanse the blood.
