We lost almost everything in Helene when our house flooded. We rented a house on 10/1, and now we might lose everything that’s in there too in Milton. Thankful for our emergency fund and living below our means. We can afford rent and our mortgage this year.

My daughter and son-in-law and my in-laws are all hunkered down in a hotel in Jacksonville. Pray for their communities on the gulf coast—Englewood and Port Richey.

Pray specifically for folks in the overnight hours as they are hearing the storm but can’t see what’s happening. It’s a very unsettling feeling even if nothing is truly bad is happening to your property.

I live a half mile from the water of Tampa bay with a near 10ft storm surge projected so I’m just asking for prayers to everyone in the area dealing with this historically devastating storm. I last minute evacuated to Georgia right before they closed the bridges this afternoon.

Not sure when I’ll be able to return or what I’ll see.

Prayers please for my son that would not evacuate. Really not clear on why he decided not to when he could have easily driven home to SC. He’s in Wesley Chapel.

I am just so very grateful to DR that we are in a position to help our family who have had great losses with Helene and be able to recover with whatever Milton has in-store for us. Things could be very very different had it not been for the baby steps.
