In December I was thinking about getting new living room furniture as my couch and recliner are over 15 yrs old and I really wanted a different color.. Looked at new lazyboy furniture and decided to keep mine. It’s still in good shape and the new is so expensive. Well last week the reclining mechanism on my sofa broke. UGH. Thinking I’d need to spent $1500 for new furniture.
Hubby looked up part on line $29.00. So I ordered it. Still gonna keep the old set. Win win.
SueI thought lazy boy had life time on parts!
LynGet covers for the sofa, then you can change the color.
JeriMy husband keeps fixing our 25-year-old washer and dryer. Sigh. I would love new, but he looks up on YouTube how to fix and makes it happen every time. Good for you for fixing your couch.
LindaYou made a good decision. Lazy Boy is not the company they used to be. Inferior products they do not stand behind.
LauraI am looking at market place off FB, for a few things. I just can not even fathom spending that sort of money on furniture… even if I had LOTS.
I am so glad that my husband can and does fix so many things around the house!
LindaWell done. I think when I bought my Lazy Boy Sofa it cam with a life warranty.
MelissaLazboy has a lifetime guarentee on parts. My husband has repaired our set a few times with the free parts. 1 recliner has to be at least 20 years old.
CindyWe were thinking about it too. So I just bought a couch covet for $40 and now it different. I just can’t buy one unless it broken.
BevThe Lazy Boy recliners are no where the quality they were years ago. They are so light, come in 2 parts. Now my LB couch is really well built….but no more chairs for me. $700-$800 no thanks!
SandyMy lazy boy lift chair broke the foot rest. The chair was four years old. I paid to have a service man come out and look at it. He didn’t even walk in the room where the blue chair was.
He just announced that the kitchen doors at that particular one cannot be fixed because they can’t get the parts. The best they could do with a lifetime warranty was give me 15% off an outrageously expensive new chair.
My son worked on it for quite a while, and he finally got it fixed and six years later it’s still working.
But perhaps a lifetime warranties aren’t worth what they say.
