I have my roth IRA with fidelity. Recently, I opened a HYSA through Ally.
Has anyone tried investing with them?
I’m thinking of investing my savings with Ally but i’m not sure.
Or should I just go with Fidelity?
SandyI use fidelity for both my investments (Roth and after-tax brokerage) as well as my savings and checking which both pay about 5% interest.
In my opinion, no need for ally
KathyI have my hysa and cd with ally and love their service but I personally have never invested with me but I know someone that does and likes it
KayleeIf you’re on Vanguard/Fidelity already why use Ally as HYSA? Vanguard’s cash plus account yields 4.7% and is insured up to $1.25M, or you could just stash the cash in your brokerage account settlement fund and collect 5.29%.
Vanguard and Fidelity are comparable, but I wouldn’t even think of using Ally.
Annarecently did a transfer out of Ally into Fidelity via ACAT ($50 Ally fee).
My IRA is at Fidelity so it felt right to keep everything in one place.
I do like that Fidelity has good fund choices and also allows purchasing fractional shares.
There’s nothing wrong with Ally if you’re buying ETF or other stocks.
Cash at Fidelity is held in SPAXX (MM fund) which pays slightly more than Ally’s HYSA.
HunterI tried using Ally.
They take way too long to post deposits and even longer to complete withdrawals.Literally two days to acknowledge deposits and three to four days to transfer funds to my local bank.
My accounts with Fidelity and Vanguard both post the same day and are available to use immediately.
