LeslieGet individually wrapped Lifesavers, & to each one attach a note saying: âYouâre My Lifesaver.â
Or a bag of Smartees, and to each roll attach a note: âWhenever I think of you, I know what SMART IS.â
Stuff like that
KarlynnĂ©If you do send something make sure itâs not something that assumes the teacher would like that. Not all teachers like coffee and some could be allergic to scented candles. Something more generic like a gift card to a place that has options of what to buy.
But Iâd just go with the handwritten note from the kids.
AngelaYou do not have to participate. Our promotes something for each day for your homeroom teacher, most of which is free or cheap. A poem, a flower, a candy bar…As a preschool teacher, one of the best gifts I received was not very expensive, but took time a creativity.
The mom found the idea on Pinterest, writing a little poem, but substituting key words with candy bars.
AshleyIâm a teacher and I expect nothing. But even the smallest gestures Iâve received in previous years are the sweetest.
AlisonIâm a teacher. A handwritten note or a homemade gift from our students is a lot more touching than anything you can buy from the store.
TracyTeacher here: no mug needed to add to the collection. đ A positive note/email to me and/or my principal is plenty.
A heartfelt handwritten note from the student is also lovely.
AngelaTeacher here… a hand written note means more than anything you can buy.
ChristaleeSuper cute diy, pot holder, wooden spoon, cake or cookie mix with a note saying âthanks for being so sweet!â Or âthanks for taking care of my sweetie!â All can be found at dollar tree.
KeriI’m doing $3 lotto tickets because my son has a lot of therapists and assistants. Gonna put a note on there that says “I hit the lotto when I got u as my teacher. Here’s hoping you can win now too! Love, Levi”
PatriciaA sweet note written by student and one from parent is a treasure we will keep. If you feel like you HAVE to get something…$5 gift cards would be plenty.
SummerDaughter of 2 teachers here- I will say writing a note is a great way to show appreciation for all teachers do in a child’s life.
Sure, school supplies or food is nice, but often kids give so many mugs to a teacher that they end up with 20 and have to give them away! but a note will and is kept for years, my parents still have notes from kids that have graduated years ago.
BethI’m a teacher. It’s not about a monetary gift. The best gifts are cards of appreciation….a handwritten thank you is absolutely my favorite thing to receive.
DanielleUm usually home and school group coordinates stuff to help with or donate.
If not just a card is fine. I am getting little âthank youâ chocolates from a local business bc my daughters favorite place. And with her 8 teachers it will be $20.
ShawnieAs s teacher, I can say the very BEST gift is a note from a child sharing a favorite memory from class!
MaryHaving been a teacher and now a para I appreciate little notes or cards made from the kiddos.
