Scored some T-bone steaks with a $2 off coupon, a bag of red potatoes, stuffed mushrooms (only thing not on a markdown), zucchini for the grill. Got a lemon cake on sale for desert. Valentine’s day dinner for much less than a restaurant. We eat well at home so that we aren’t feeling tortured. It is always cheaper than going out for a “special” dinner.
Sara-RandyWe also made a meal at home tonight! My husband made meatloaf, vegetables and chocolate cheesecake for me as I have rheumatoid arthritis that affects my hands very badly. I hope your day was wonderful.
JenniferI bought steaks on sale that we will grill with some shrimp as well. Asparagus and salad on the side. Homemade vanilla pudding for dessert. Plus a nice bottle of wine to wash it down. Looking forward to it. Less than $50 for 4 people. Everytime we’ve been out to eat lately, it’s been $80-100.
RoseannaWe always do Valentine’s Day dinner at home. Tonight rob eye roast (bought on sale $5.99 per pound) cheese souffle and wilted lettuce salad. Magic bars with bittersweet chocolate and dried cherries for dessert. Much less expensive than going out and more fun too.
MelissaWe are eating ay home tonight too. This morning we went to Dunkin Doughnuts and used coupons and to Starbucks and used gift cards.
JenniferBought a mac and cheese dish from Costco, Hot sausages, corn, red lobster biscuits, and salad…under $20 for two of us with leftovers.
GigiSo, agree..making coconut shrimp. Twice baked potatoes, Red Lobster Biscuits and strawberry cake.
