Brian
We’ve all heard (and probably answered) the question: what advice would you give your younger self?
As a perhaps more interesting exercise, what advice would your younger self give your older self?
Answer with the age of the “you” giving the advice and the advice itself!
I’ll start.
12 year old Brian is telling 35 year old Brian to take more bike rides around town and quit worrying so much about your silly job!
RobertI once saw a reel that said our only job is to make our 8 year old & 80 year old self proud and I think thats about a perfect a statement as the come.
My younger self would remind me not to get comfortable, not get complacent, never stop dreaming and fighting for those dreams.
Sometimes progress happens so very slowly in life that it really makes it hard to care, dreams can begin to seem unreachable.
Dont stop dreaming, dont stop chasing those dreams, run from comfort.
Amanda20 year old me is telling 35 year old me that we have reached our dreams and I need to enjoy it more.
At 20 I was sitting in a single wide trailer without electricity and a new baby that needed to stay warm.
Now I own 3 homes and almost retired. Something I never thought I would be able to say in my 30s!
Thank you for this… sometimes it’s hard to remember where I started.
AubreyIf 20 year old me could give 34 year old me advice it would be to never stop making myself a priority.
Working out daily was a huge part of my life and I was in incredible shape.
At 34, my decade long hiatus has made regaining mobility and strength a huge struggle.
CarlyI wish I could tell younger me to put down the alcohol and cigarettes. Make your health the most important priority in your life – physical, mental, emotional.
DamasoGreat question!!! 13 year old me is telling 53 year old me that baseball, bodyboarding, fishing and my girl(wife) were the most important things in life.
Keli18 year old me is telling 40 year old me that boundary setting is important in any type of relationship and that it’s ok to speak up for yourself before people are surprised when you finally do speak up
GoldenBuy a few more single family homes for real estate investment….20 years ago.
They’ve been a nice diversification to my portfolio.
