Can someone walk me through the bathtub stripping process for extremely dirty fabrics? I have a fabric liner from the trunk of my vehicle that unknowingly had water sitting in it from a roof leak a few weeks ago.

It won’t fit in the washer/dryer, so I’ve decided that stripping it in the bathtub is my best option. It’s in there with washing powders and baking soda currently soaking.

I’m agitating it every once in a while with a broom handle. Not really sure what comes next as far as rinsing & drying.

      Any tips/tricks?

What makes you think it needs to be stripped as opposed to just washed?

I would use my feet and stomp it a bunch be careful it may be slippery… Drain water and do clear water rinse to remove soap.

Hang outside over a fence or patio chair to dry

Why not take it to a laundromat & use one of those huge front loading washers. It’ll cost <$10
