Anyone Churning credit cards? What cards are you churning and why?

Looking to do renovation on a new primary house. I’m thinking about the Amex Platnium.

Currently they are an offering 175k points when spending $8k in 6 months.

Do you have to Green or Gold yet? You won’t be eligible for sign up bonuses in those cards if you get the Platinum first.

To get all the points start with Green, then Gold, and then Platinum.

I recently got the Chase Ink Business Preferred, which is still offering a 120k welcome bonus after an $8k spend (only $95 annual fee).

This is the new sister card to my Chase Sapphire Reserve, which I also collected a healthy SUB and lots of daily spend points.

I like the Chase UR points because more of their transfer partners are relevant to me.

(United Airlines and Southwest Airlines, notably) I recently booked a flight to Mexico on United with points and got a 1.5:1 redemption value.

I haven’t broken into the AMEX points world yet.

So, I would just say, when evaluating points cards, look at who their partner companies are that accept their points and see which points universe has the most partners that are useful to you *AND* how those transfer partners value the points currency.

that is a killer sign-up bonus; but remember, you have to hold the card for at least one year; otherwise AMEX will claw back that bonus.

The Amex Plat is one of my favorite cards; b/c if you use it right, you can get 800-900-1000 in value….

which more than makes up for the 695 yearly fee. Frankly, I love that card.

Amex plat is one of my favorite cards. But I’m finding the fine hotels to always be booked and outrageous in price now.

I’m headed to Europe next week and I can’t even use my $200 hotel credit cuz there’s just nothing available.

If you haven’t started the CC game, I would start with chase sapphire reserve and work your way to getting all the chase lineup.
