I need to save money but I really don’t like cooking. I’m kinda over rice and beans but I will eat it.

I have 2 children, one with ASD so his diet is extremely limited but he loves pizza. Any suggestions on how to please everyone and save money while not being stressed about cooking?

Edited to add we are vegetarian/vegan. I’m vegan but my children are vegetarian, mainly because of pizza.

Cook less, reheat more. I’m a batch cooker. Soups, casseroles, layered dishes, meat. I keep steam in bag veggies too for ease of use. And I keep a variety of “healthy ish” jarred sauces (marinara, Alfredo, pesto, curry, etc)

I like “splitting the difference” too. Homemade protein. Steam in bag veggies. Tater tots. Lol.

Make homemade pizza , personalized and extra for tomorrow, veggie tray and hummus, fruit cut up , cottage cheese , cheese’s and other cold foods they love , bean salad , pasta enough for leftovers. Make base and add extras -olives , dressing ,wraps

Potatoes with toppings. If you have an instant pot you don’t have to heat up the kitchen.

When you do cook, can you double the recipe and freeze the rest for another day? That helps me a lot

Your local pizza place probably also has grilled chicken breast. Order 2-3 and now you have cooked chicken that you can put in sandwiches, make chicken salad, serve with a green salad or use in quesadillas.

Local Chinese restaurants also have cooked white rice for really cheap- great addition to your meal.

I made chorizo sausage that was too spicy so I ordered rice for like $3 and saved dinner.

Also, frozen veggies are super helpful. Sauté or microwave. Easy peezy

I don’t know your children’s ages. But if you have an air fryer, u could do quick tots, topped with pizza toppings, or some fish sticks, chicken tenders. An air fryer cooks so quick. Or u a small crock pot and put something in, in the morning and it will do the cooking for u. U can google easy and cheap recipes for crock pot too.
