Let’s talk phone plans! Cheap phone service is a super easy way to save money, and we have so many options out there.

I am very sad because I have been looking for a cheap no contract phone service with unlimited talk/text, and I thought I found it in Cricket.

I just switched to them because they advertised a $15 unlimited talk/text plan, but now that I’ve joined they aren’t offering the $15 plan anymore!

The cheapest plan now is $30 – unless you want to buy 12 months at a time, in which case it’s $25/mo

I know plans don’t last forever, but they just started offering $15/mo in May and it’s already gone.

I’ve looked at other carriers that have advertised $10-$15 plans but they also require you to buy a year in advance to get that rate

What is the cheapest unlimited talk/text plan you’ve found where you *don’t* have to buy several months ahead to get the cheap price??

I use Spectrum Mobile it’s $30/month unlimited everything & they use Verizon towers so they have same coverage area as Verizon (you have to also have either Spectrum cable or Spectrum internet to qualify) and no contracts

I switched from Cricket to Visible and love it!
They had a promo in January so my price is $20 a month for the first 2 years but regular price is $25 a month.

1 line, no hoops to jump through.

They do have a higher priced plan but that’s just for all the “extras” the $25 a month covers unlimited talk/text/data.

They use Verizon towers so it’s great service.

Unfortunately you kind of have to buy in bulk and prepay to save. For anyone going the prepaid route mint is the cheapest as far as I know.

            I pay $200/year ($15+like $1.50 in fees/month).

I’ve used them for about 3 years and they haven’t increased the price at all.

They actually added more data for free a while ago.

The service is using tmobile’s towers so keep that in mind for your area.

Ryan talks a heap about Mint, what do they offer. Also, one need be careful that the plan they buy has service where you need it.

My phone doesn’t work a lick aty parents place.

Now I love mint (they run via tmobile) still no service in home but it costs one month of bill for a while year with them …

We pay $288/ month for 9 lines on the TMobile Magenta military plan. But…someone’s gotta be in the military.

(my oldest son) Some of that is a watch he bought plus the line, and a protection plan.

($20/ line for 8 lines, $25 after that..plus fees and Netflix, etc)

I use TracFone ~ have for about a decade. I’ve had both android and iPhone.

Just switched my mom’s phone. With Verizon it was over $60 a month.

                      Now it’s about $22 I think.

You can bring your own phone.
                      Good luck!

I used Verizon prepaid before I switched to visible which is still Verizon.

I was able to get the $20 plan on visible (normally $25) but there’s no whole year payment.

It’s 20 every month and no extra fees.

I had cricket, major cities I didn’t have data. Slow as can be. No issues so far with the $25 visible unlimited everything.

Visible. You have to join online. They have a sale going on now reg $25 a month now $20 a month for 24 months and have unlimited talk text and data.

You can keep your phone and number or buy a phone and pick your number.

I just got one to use as a hotspot and dropped spectrum

PuretalkUSA- $20/mo, unlimited talk and text, limited data at their fastest speed, but still works with no overage fees.

I’ve used it for years and no price increase.

No contact. Adding a phone, price drops. AT&T towers.

                              Customer service is great.

You can bring your own phone, but it needs to be compatible or unlocked.

I’ve used Tello in the past. It was $15 a month I believe. Just talk and text. They do have a data plan available

We use straight talk from Walmart. $35 monthly. It’s not the cheapest but we have reliable service.
