Rental car insurance overseas, specifically Greece.
Renting from Hertz for 2 days on upcoming trip.Have AmEx for primary rental car insurance (enrolled and pay $25/rental already) – but what do I need for liability?
Any advice?
ArunCheck with Amex, this only covers damage to the rental only. Doesn’t cover the other vehicle or medical coverage in case someone needs medical attention.
SteveNot an answer to your question, but depending on where you’re going in Greece, consider ATV rentals instead of a car. Much easier.
VeronicaI just turned in our rental to Hertz in Piraeus. (Port of Athens) we bought the Amex insurance.
They still put 1000euro on the card as “just in case” on returning the car, they have a perfunctory glance and returned my deposit.
Very easy going and not at all stressful.
I have done rental returns In France and the woman accused me of not filling up the car.
She wouldnt come out from behind the desk…. It was strange indeed.
