My boss is not financially savvy and trusts a lot in my suggestions, but I’m unfamiliar with his personal case.
What would you recommend to someone with an AGI higher than $240k and whose wife doesn’t work? He has 401K
They are creating an LLC where both will be the only members and will be filing as an S Corp.
He wants to open a retirement account for her.
What would be the best retirement account options as individuals or through the LLC?
DarryllYou’re dancing in dangerous territory here. If this goes wrong it could cost you your job.
He needs financial help. That is very reasonable but most ‘basic’ stuff is written focused on people in middle income brackets for a reason.
If you recommend something that is wrong it can really, really bite you here. Suggest that he find a professional that can help with his specific needs (be it an accountant or advisor).
JuleHe can also contribute to a spousal backdoor Roth IRA and one for him as well.
HeleneI’d recommend he read basic financial books.. It’s not your job to manage his personal financial life.
