What has everyone found to be the best cheapest or reasonably priced drip coffee maker that doesn’t leak, and keeps coffee hot?
I have had pretty good luck with Hamilton Beach but they never last very long
I’m looking to buy a budget-friendly drip coffee maker and need some recommendations.
The most important features for me are that it doesn’t leak and can keep coffee hot for an extended period without burning it.
I’m not looking for anything fancy—just something reliable that consistently brews good coffee.
If you’ve had a positive experience with a particular brand or model that meets these criteria, I’d love to hear about it!
Any advice on durability and ease of use would be greatly appreciated too. Thanks!
JanetHamilton Beach has a 5 yr warranty though- you can just keep getting a new one! I love my Hamiton Beach Glass Kettle- I have paid for 2 in the last 15 years- but have had 3 replacements through warranty!
KarenI gave up on drip coffee makers cause they don’t last. Try an electric percolator. They last and hotter coffee.
I picked my up at thrift store for six dollars! Never going back to Mr. Coffee
LynneI have the Hamilton beach two in 1. Actually I’m on my second one in 20 years.
SandyI’ve used cuisinarts for years. I’ve bought two, both from costco.
JeanneI have used a cone on a mug, now called pour over, for decades. I make each mug fresh. Very inexpense, you can get the plastic cones in most supermarkets, I sent to Melitta for a porcelen cone.
LorYou get what you pay for, cheap isn’t always better, although it’s more expensive, we have a Bunn, have had it for years!
ChristinaI love cuisinart with the thermal carafe. I’ve had two and they lasted for years. You may want to look on your local FB marketplace to see if anyone is selling one, as they are not cheap.
However, they do last a long time!
PatriciaI have a cuisinart. It has lasted for many years. Waiting for it to die though, because I find it hard to see the water lines now.
KimberlyI got a mr coffee from target a few years ago thats still working. I believe it was $19.99 but it could have been $29.99
CarolAfter spending obscene amounts of money on fancy coffee makers with the shelf life of bananas I gave up.
I found an old Melita pour over pot in my cupboard, one I had forgotten I owned.
I’ve used it for longer than a new coffee maker would be expected to perform and I’m never going to spend $$$$ another “fancy” one.
JasminI use a glass French press because I don’t like the idea of hot liquid going through plastic into my cup,
if anyone knows of an all stainless steel parts coffee maker please share
MimiI bought a cuisinart 10 years ago. Spent a little more, and stopped having to buy new ones all the time.
LucindaMy mother-in-law used to make great coffee using an ancient Mr. Coffee.
We use a percolator. We sometimes set it up the night before and plug it in when we get up.I find them all the time at yard sales, usually unused.
RichardI use an espresso maker as it uses less coffee, and just let it run long.
Then you can use an insulated thermos mug.
