There’s a movie I really want to see that’s only on Netflix, but I don’t have a Netflix subscription. What’s the cheapest way to watch it??
Are there any free trials, promotions, or alternative methods that allow access to Netflix shows and movies without having to pay for a full subscription?
Please share any tips or experiences!”
PaulFind a friend who has Netflix and you supply the chill
PamI’m getting Netflix for 4.99 a month now. I will have to watch commercials but that’s ok with me.
JenThere’s an app called iwebtv you can watch almost any movie you want for free
ShellyHow is everyone paying 5, 7 $, I’m paying 16.$. What the heck?
DottyVisit a friend with Netflix. They provide the film, you provide the popcorn
CarolynTry googling the name of the movie along with “watch free online” I have watched quite a few movies that way.
HeidiDo you have a friend who could visit and sign into their account to watch with you?
BobbiTry the public library. I get most of them that are on streaming channels for FREE at my library for like 1-3 weeks.
KimberThe base subscription with ads is like $7, and you get that movie plus a bunch of other stuff for 30 days. Just subscribe for a month, geez
CorineGo to a friends house who has Netflix and watch with them and bring the popcorn
DeniseCheck your cell phone plan. I had my phone for 3 years before I found out it came with a free Netflix subscription.
So now I have Netflix. Most of the offerings are garbage, but I have it.
MargaretFrugality is one thing, and a good quality, but sponging off other people’s subscription is another.
Why should they pay, and not you? Mine is approx €6.99 a month, that’s about 4 coffees.
It’s a question of priorities, not frugality.
KatherynWe make a list of things we really want to see on apps we don’t have and we periodically rotate apps and watch everything we wanted then cancel again
JessicaI’ve paid for one month of Netflix each year several years now—at one time, it was when The Crown released a new season.
I do this with other subscriptions, too.
I wait until the whole season of whatever I want to watch has been released, and then I subscribe.
I immediately unsubscribe, so I won’t forget.
On all I’ve encountered, you still get access the thirty days or whatever even if you unsubscribe that first day.
I try to only have one paid streaming subscription at a time.
BriIt may be worthwhile to pay for a month subscription for like $5 or whatever the cheapest is now, with ads, so you have access to the movie you want (plus whatever else) for a whole month.
SusanI just don’t see movies and tv being worth paying for a subscription. There are so many other options out there.
PamDo you have other streaming platforms? Offer to share with a friend to use their Netflix?
CJNetflix just lowered their cost as of September. I received a email in August. They have commercials now, but commercials don’t last more than 30 seconds.
Worth the 1/2 price decrease.
You can still opt for no commercials but price will double to 12.99
XinaMy library has recently begun offering screenings of new releases that are covered by our license.
Ask your librarian about it.
