I’m looking for an equivalent to the Vanguard Total Stock Market ETF (VTI) but offered through Fidelity.
Could anyone suggest a comparable ETF or mutual fund from Fidelity that tracks the total U.S.
stock market or has a similar broad market exposure?
I’m interested in understanding what Fidelity’s options are for achieving broad market diversification similar to what VTI provides.
Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
FrankVTI is the same whether you buy it at Fidelity or not. And you should, because Fidelity has no fee trading, fractional shares and you can automate ETF purchases now if you wish.
张扬You just buy VTI. No fees, and you can transfer in kind later if you decide to switch brokerage firms.
ChristopherVTI is freely available at Fidelity. Otherwise, FSKAX is an equivalent mutual fund.
ConnorFSKAX. It’s basically the same but lower fees (since you are on fidelity instead of vanguard)
MoniqueFSKAX is their Total Stock Market MF. Fidelity doesn’t offer a total stock market ETF of thier own, but you can just buy VTI on Fidelity.
(I’m assuming Fidelity and Schwab will change their distribution method now that Vanguard’s patent is expired, and there won’t be much difference between ETFs and MFs beyond portability, but that remains to be seen. So, stick to the ETF).
