Hello! Seeking the homemade spray recipe for killing mold on shower grout. (Seem to recall hydrogen peroxide, Dawn & baking soda, but need the breakdown.)
I have some mold buildup on the grout in my bathroom (and possibly other areas in my home), and I’m looking for an effective homemade solution to remove it.
I prefer using natural ingredients instead of harsh chemicals, if possible. Does anyone have a tried-and-tested recipe for a spray that can help kill mold on grout and keep it from coming back?
Any tips on how to apply it, how long to leave it on, or how to prevent future mold growth would also be appreciated!
Thank you in advance for your help.
LaurenWet and forget spray is great on mold. I use Dawn and vinegar on the shower doors (50:50 water + vinegar) with a few tablespoons of Dawn in a quart spray bottle for the shower door.
Rinse well after as it gets slippery.
DeborahI use half bleach and half water. It needs to sit for a while on the grout/mildew for a while so I use pieces of paper towel or narrow strips of torn sheeting, dip it in the bleach water, and stick it right on the affected grout.
The next day I pull off the towel/sheeting and it looks like new.

MicheleOnce clean the secret is to have ceiling an venting moisture out and wiping shower dry or even squeegee every time them keep spray near the shower so it can be sprayed regularly
